My name is Megan and I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  Growing up, I was the kid in the neighborhood making all the other kids play school with me.  I had amazing teachers who inspired me to become a teacher.

I started my teaching career in 2015, teaching kindergarten in Bandon, OR.  After two years there, I moved back to the Portland area.  I started teaching in St. Helens, OR in 2017, where I taught kindergarten for seven years.

During my time in kindergarten, I became passionate about hands-on, play-based learning.  There is so much academic material you can incorporate into play!  Play is important to our youngest learners, and I'm excited to bring that philosophy to Tiny Tales.

I hold a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Seattle Pacific University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from George Fox University.
